Its Raining

Mon Mar 31, 2008, 4:50 AM
  • Mood: Distracted
  • Listening to: "Comfortably Numb" -Pink Floyd
  • Reading: My Regional Geography text book
  • Drinking: Lots of water
I am as a mud person
sculpted from earth
lurching, grasping, gasping
made of grime, sweat and dirt...

I sold my soul for two semesters of school.

Beautiful. I love rain...
:iconhito-chan:
I do too.
I just hate the mud it makes, and how I have to do PT in it =/
:iconpenguindf12:
Mud is thy enemy when trying to go on a walk or lay down on a hillside - today I learned that. =/

What sort of PT?
:iconhito-chan:
Army PT. Sit ups and pushups and V-Ups and leg lifts and sprints .
I was walking- er -hobbling back from PT when that little verse spouted its way from my mouth. Literally, I just spoke it outloud.
People stared at me.
:iconpenguindf12:
Post-exercise poetry is usually most beautiful, or at least seems so at the time, heh. So you're in the army?

Hmm... how many push-ups can you do in one go without collapsing?
:iconhito-chan:
Army ROTC. Probably won't be for much longer.

Without breaks or intervals inbetween, anywhere from twenty to twenty eight in two minutes. Of course, that's after months and months of perspiration and aching muscles. At the start of last semester, my average was around fifteen.
Eek.
:iconpenguindf12:
Excellent! I just now got to 30-ish level, after hovering around 3 to 8-ish last November. I'd like to pretend that it was through hard work and dedication that I got there, but I think it was mainly luck. And hormones.

I've never been a huge military/industrial-complex fan myself, although my dad (whom I greatly respect) works for the third largest defense contractor in the nation. What made you go into miltary stuff?
:iconhito-chan:
Well, I had been in JROTC for all four years of highschool, and I needed college money.
Well, what the hell? ROTC can't be much harder than JROTC can it?
Hah.
Wow, that is possibly the lamest reason to join the military I ever ever had the displeasure to hear...
:iconpenguindf12:
So does that mean you sold your soul to Uncle Sam, or do you still hold certain civil liberties? XD There's no shame in saving money
